Role Responsibilities:
  • Working under the direct supervision of the Practice Manager, Program Director, or Program Coordinator, the Patient Service Representative (PSR) engages with incoming and outgoing patients and visitors, offering assistance as required. The PSR guides patients and visitors to the appropriate areas within the facility; interacts with them in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner at all times. This role involves receiving incoming calls, directing them appropriately, taking messages when necessary, and ensuring timely communication with the intended recipient. The PSR is responsible for maintaining accuracy throughout the registration and payment collection processes, adhering to the established policies and procedures of New Horizon Family Health Services.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Medical Office Training certificate or relevant education and training beyond high school is preferred.
Skills and Experience:
  • Preferred two years of experience in a medical office or healthcare facility.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and the public.
  • Capability to comprehend and follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrates basic mathematical computation skills.
