Job Summary: This role provides direct clinical patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of assigned patients on a per-shift basis. The role assumes responsibility for supervising staff to ensure appropriate care is delegated and is accountable for supporting the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and effective resource management related to patient care.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of assigned patients on a per-shift basis.
- Supervise staff to ensure appropriate care is delegated and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Support the Chief Nursing Officer in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and effective resource management related to patient care.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Nursing required.
- One year of telemetry experience preferred.
- CCRN preferred.
- A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside is required.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR required.
- American Heart Association ACLS is required within 6 months of hire for PCU.
