Position Summary
RMC is seeking a Business Financial Management Analyst to assist our Navy client. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in acquisition and budget management. Responsibilities may include:
- Developing budget proposals to support various plans, programs, and initiatives, including presenting and justifying these proposals to relevant authorities.
- Assessing and analyzing budget requests.
- Monitoring and reporting on financial obligations and expenditures.
- Conducting cost analysis and recommending financial strategies, while providing comprehensive financial oversight of acquisition programs and operations.
- Applying acquisition expertise in compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks governing approved budgets.
- Overseeing internal controls and advising on efficient and effective methods for acquisition, as well as optimal fund utilization to support organizational activities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, depending on funding and sponsor requirements.
Ideal Candidate Attributes
- Ability to formulate, recommend, and implement financial policies while considering the implications of Congressional legislation, OMB, and Departmental Guidance.
- Act as the program liaison to all stakeholders, including senior military officials, civilians, and industry counterparts for comprehensive planning and workload management. This includes providing and defending budget presentations to senior leadership as necessary.
- Effectively communicate programmatic decisions and their implications both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications
- An associate degree with two (2) years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma with four (4) years of relevant experience in a related field. Experience with DoD funding documents and acquisitions/contracts is preferred.
- An active DoD Secret clearance is mandatory to commence employment. Selected candidates may undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
