Chemical Analyst

Cruz Associates Inc. is seeking a skilled Chemical Analyst to join their team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, MD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will perform laboratory work, including tests, analyses, and procedures with high-hazard materials. This will involve wet chemistry techniques and instrumentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct tests on materials and substances to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Analyze substances to determine their composition and concentration of elements.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of chemicals and their safe use, storage, and disposal.
• Ability to follow DOD/DON procedures, policy, and guidance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment and with applicable equipment.
• Knowledge of high-hazard materials.
• Must complete and maintain Qualification/Certification status.
• Ability to work off-schedule and night shifts.
