Job Title: Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Eastern Research Group (ERG). As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and meeting client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
  • Coordinate with management, engineers, operators, technicians, and vendors to achieve project goals.
  • Analyze program budgets and spend plans, addressing concerns, and communicating potential issues to management.
  • Present project and manufacturing performance data and conclusions to management.
  • Lead and assist project and production planning meetings.
  • Review, compile, and distribute documents and status updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure raw materials, intermediates, and products meet necessary quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (minimum GPA of 3.0).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation to engage with personnel.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), meticulous attention to detail, high motivation, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with limited oversight.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of project management experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in reviewing technical data packages and engineering drawings.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Federal contract or facilities experience.
  • An active secret-level security clearance.
  • Expertise in advanced Microsoft Excel, with the ability to develop and manage complex spreadsheets (including VBA programming and Lookup, pivot tables, and scheduling forms).
  • Expertise in advanced Microsoft Project, with the ability to develop and manage complex projects (including scheduling dependencies, resource delegation, critical path analysis, task sheets, and Gantt charts) and troubleshoot existing projects.
