The Flexo Press Operator is tasked with the setup and operation of printing presses to manufacture labels and related products.

This role includes onsite training, providing an opportunity to acquire a valuable skill set in the printing sector. Employees can expect significant growth potential and opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interprets job orders and prepares dies for the press, installs print cylinders as required.
  • Prepares ink pans, screens, and pumps with the appropriate inks.
  • Operates the press, adjusting speed and alignment of materials as necessary.
  • Engages print cylinders, making necessary adjustments to printing impressions and conducting approval strip runs.
  • Samples approval strips from printed rolls, inspecting for quality issues such as misalignment or color discrepancies, and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness of plates, print cylinders, and dies, performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Mixes inks to achieve desired colors and viscosity.
  • Ensures work areas are organized and adhere to housekeeping standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three years of relevant experience or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred experience of at least one year in flexographic printing.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and read measurement tools.
  • Physical requirements include standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision capabilities required include close vision and color perception.
