We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Specialist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a Fire Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our staff, students, and visitors during special events.
Key Responsibilities- Perform fire watch and assist with life safety programs at special events, to include sporting events.
- Respond to fire-related incidents as requested.
- Collaborate with event organizers to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for special events.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Physically able to walk event space, including climbing steep steps multiple times as required.
- Ability to see, hear, and smell signs of fire.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Valid NC Driver's License required.
- Training in Special Event populations.
- Experience with patient triage in large-scale events.
- Haz-Mat Operation plus certification preferred.
- NIMS 300 preferred.
- N.C. EMT Certification with Wake County EMS affiliation preferred.
- A competitive salary of $27.00 per hour.
