- Analyze student data to inform instruction and drive student progress
- Deliver instruction using a variety of research-based instructional strategies
- Establish a respectful and student-centered learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective implementation of educational programs
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Reading or a related field
- Virginia Teaching Certificate/License with an endorsement in Reading
- Experience as a Reading teacher in a secondary setting
- Ability to supervise students and youth, facilitate classroom management, and maintain accurate records
- Experience teaching at-risk youth
