Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Friendship Village. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including soups, sauces, and entrees, following standardized recipes and food safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal production and service.
• Plan and organize food production to meet meal serving hours, ensuring quality, temperature, and appearance of food.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any issues to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, or similar institution.
• Ability to read and write in English, perform basic arithmetic, and follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance, as well as basic cooking methods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
