Job DescriptionJob Description

Daikin-TMI is an industry leader for HVAC equipment and integrated building control solutions. Because of continued growth, we have an immediate need for an experienced Control Systems Design Specialist. In this role, your will design customized control systems for our clients. You will use AutoCAD to prepare temperature control system wiring and installation drawings, wiring diagrams and data sheets to present to for our clients review.

May Include:

  • Designing system based on bid proposals and design documents and specifications
  • Timely execution of CAD drawings
  • Make system design decisions to improve function and performance while keeping within job budget
  • Research and select products required for a complete and operational system
  • Solicit bids from suppliers for job components and assess bids based on job needs and budget
  • Engage and communicate with the project team to understand project scope, requirements and schedule
  • Engage with customers and provide the best customer experience
  • Maintain design documentation for all projects assigned to you
  • Participate in training and job meetings as required
  • Follow standard operating procedures, established work processes and Company policies
  • Work with Control System Design Engineers team to assist them in job related tasks
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong design software skills (CAD, MS Office primarily Word and Excel)
  • Accuracy with numbers and details
  • Willing to travel for training and projects as needed
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills

Experience:

  • Experience in construction, primarily Temperature Controls, HVAC or Electrical fields
  • 5 - 7years of experience in building controls/automation systems design

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

People Management: No

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Minimal Traveling requirement of up to 10%

  • Manager, Control System Engineer.
