Job Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional human resources assistance to all staff, supervisors, and management. Offer guidance on timekeeping systems, payroll, benefits, and the onboarding process for new hires. Execute payroll-related transactions associated with HR functions. Provide training and education to personnel regarding federal, state, and organizational policies and procedures. Oversee background checks, including fingerprinting and drug testing when necessary. Manage the onboarding process and timekeeping systems.

Employment Conditions

This is a wage position with a cap of 1,500 hours worked per agency within a 12-month timeframe. Employees are restricted to an average of 29 hours per week. This position does not include state benefits.

Essential Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Familiarity with timekeeping practices is essential. Must possess the ability to interpret and apply general human resource policies and procedures. Proficiency in PC operations, including various HR databases, is necessary. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage detailed and time-sensitive tasks effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with excellent customer service abilities. Candidates must be capable of working in a dynamic environment while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.

Additional Skills

Working knowledge of timekeeping practices is preferred. Advanced understanding of business operations, office procedures, and automated business applications is advantageous. Experience with HR software such as DOCTime, Cardinal, BOX, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) is beneficial. General knowledge of benefits administration, including leave policies, healthcare, and compensation, is a plus.
