Radiographer Special Procedure Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiographer Special Procedure to join our team at Saint Michael's Medical Center. As a member of our award-winning team, you will be part of a community dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our patients.
Our hospital is a 358-bed regional tertiary-care, teaching, and research center in the heart of Newark's business and educational district. We offer a comprehensive array of innovative medical treatments and procedures, including cardiac catheterization and open-heart surgery.
As a Radiographer Special Procedure, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic, cat scan, mammography, bone density, ultra sound or special procedures according to department protocols. You will also function as the first line interface with customers and be successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs.

ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:
- Performing diagnostic radiographic, cat scan, mammography, bone density, ultra sound or special procedures according to department protocols.
- Functioning as the first line interface with customers and being successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs.
- Participating in PI/ QC activities.
- Assisting in maintaining performance improvement programs.
- Overseeing radiology area and/or staff in manager's/director's absence.
- Maintaining department supplies.
- Promoting teamwork and good customer service.
- Doing scheduling for assigned sub departments and maintaining supplies and equipment for assigned sub department.
- Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by state.
- Effective July 1, 2017, appropriate national certifications in two modalities required.
- Current BCLS (AHA).
- Must be familiar with state and federal regulations.
- One year of acute clinical radiography preferred.
- Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT.
- Proficient computer skills.
