KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal and state tax compliance, with a focus on partnership tax services. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tax compliance and consulting services to partnerships for a variety of clients, including Fortune 100 companies and mid-market businesses.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing tax compliance and consulting services to partnerships for a variety of clients
  • Consulting on transaction calculations, partner economics, tax distributions, and other events throughout the partnership lifecycle
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on high-quality partnership consulting and reporting, including technology design and industry knowledge
  • Leading, counseling, and training teams of tax professionals on process and tax technical
  • Managing a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and acting as the point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Overseeing risk and performance of engagements, including project budgets, resource planning, status, and financial metrics
  • Keeping up to date on current tax practices, new technologies, and tools used in client service delivery and participating in technology or process development initiatives
  • Participating in and contributing to market and business activities external to the firm
  • Acting with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of recent experience in an accounting firm focused on partnership federal and state tax compliance. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required, as well as a licensed CPA, Enrolled Agent, or J.D./LL.M. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, and critical thinking skills, as well as experience with MS Office applications and third-party tax reporting software programs.
