ROLE SUMMARY

The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for architecting and implementing system solutions that align with the essential functions of the organization, as well as assessing and recommending necessary technologies to fulfill those needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Architect and implement new platforms and enhance existing infrastructure, software, and operating systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve intricate hardware and software issues.
  • Analyze technical requirements, set project milestones and tasks, and assess effort estimates for completion.
  • Deploy and manage Unix and Microsoft Servers, Storage Arrays, VMWare infrastructure, and associated technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify complex computer system challenges for Servers, Active Directory, VMWare, application services, and end-user issues within an enterprise setting.
  • Conduct server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in line with the organization's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Generate and maintain documentation related to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Implement solutions, assess performance, capacity, and prepare and present performance statistics and reports.
  • Respond to critical system outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans, collaborating with other departments as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Engineering, Information Systems, or a Technical field); a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Over 5 years of proven experience in the design, implementation, and support of infrastructure systems, applications, and related technologies.
  • Capability to obtain a Class III A gaming license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Availability: Must be able to work 40+ hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday during the day. Availability for some holidays, weekends, and nights may be required to support a 24/7 operation. Participation in an on-call rotation is necessary.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to navigate all areas of the casino, including stairs, and engage in frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs and may regularly need to lift, move, push, or pull materials or boxes necessary for job functions, with or without assistance.
  • Environmental Considerations: Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and moving through the gaming floor.
