Job Title: RN Admission

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Admission Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for assigning bed placement for patients requiring admission to acute care and critical care units, collaborating with physicians and specialists to clarify bed criteria, and working with an interdisciplinary team to define and eliminate barriers within the system that may impede patient flow.

Responsibilities:
  • Assign bed placement for patients requiring admission to acute care and critical care units
  • Collaborate with physicians and specialists to clarify bed criteria
  • Work with an interdisciplinary team to define and eliminate barriers within the system that may impede patient flow
  • Direct the flow of patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Evaluate and negotiate appropriate placement, prioritizing according to current census, staffing situations, and knowledge of patient acuity
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • ACLS certified or must become certified within 6 months of employment
  • Five years recent clinical experience in a tertiary acute care setting required
  • Emergency Room or Critical Care experience preferred
