Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team at Ryan Veterinary Hospital. As a Renal Transplant Specialist, you will play a critical role in the care and management of patients undergoing renal transplant procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the screening of potential recipients and donor patients, including client education and consultation with referring veterinarians.
  • Participate in surgery during transplant procedures and develop rapport with all levels of staff to ensure exceptional pre- and postoperative management of recipients and donors.
  • Assess patients on a regular basis and communicate concerns appropriately to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transplant patient data.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and staff to ensure consistent follow-up care for all patients.
  • Train and assist new surgeons and residents relative to transplant technology.
  • Communicate with clients and referring veterinarians to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • An Associate's Degree or two-year college equivalent and 3-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification.
