Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Nurse Coordinator to join our Orthopedics team at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating orthopedic clinic and surgery schedules, communicating with clients and local veterinarians, and ensuring all preoperative blood work and request forms are submitted.

You will work closely with our team of clinicians and nurses to provide exceptional patient care and support. If you are a passionate and skilled Veterinary Nurse looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate orthopedic clinic and surgery schedules
  • Communicate with clients and local veterinarians
  • Ensure all preoperative blood work and request forms are submitted
  • Assist in coordination of cases with Anesthesia and other services
  • Be available to discharge patients and explain discharge instructions to clients
  • Clipping/prepping patients for surgery
  • Work in other nursing areas to provide additional coverage as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Veterinary Medicine
  • Certified Veterinary Technician
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
