Veterinary Receptionist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Society Hill Veterinary Hospital. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, managing patient flow, and supporting our veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional client service, responding to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage patient flow, scheduling appointments, and surgeries, and ensuring timely and efficient communication with clients and staff.
  • Process payments, handle financial transactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with medical records, including updating patient information, and preparing medical records for veterinarians and technicians.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure seamless communication and efficient patient care.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a veterinary hospital or animal care setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and veterinarians.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including practice management systems and Microsoft Office.
