Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician III to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Pharmacy Technician III, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy operations and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists with various tasks, including medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and efficient pharmacy systems, including automated dispensing machines and computerized systems.
  • Coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and medication management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients, families, and healthcare staff.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician training or certification preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, with a focus on technical operations and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
