About the Role

Touchstone Mental Health is seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing support to clients in our Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Therapeutic Relationships: Develop supportive and motivational relationships with residents, fostering a sense of trust and understanding.
  • Crisis Intervention and De-escalation: Coach residents to utilize effective coping strategies and de-escalate crises in a safe and respectful manner.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications to residents as prescribed by medical professionals, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
  • Meal Preparation and Service: Assist in preparing and serving meals to residents, promoting a sense of community and well-being.
  • Environmental Maintenance: Support the cleanliness of common areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for residents.
  • Safety Protocols: Ensure residents follow established safety guidelines, minimizing risks and promoting a culture of safety.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with other staff members and interns to provide comprehensive support to residents.
Requirements
  • Experience and Education: Possess one to two years of experience, education, or a combination in behavioral health, social work, psychology, counseling, nursing, or a related field.
  • Licensure and Certification: Meet the definition of Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker or Mental Health Practitioner per Department of Human Services licensing requirements.
