Job Title: Substation Physical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Physical Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing substation electrical projects for our utility clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop substation electrical projects, including one-line drawings, three-line drawings, and plan-section drawings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure compliance with design standards and quality requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including bill of materials and design packages.
  • Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure project execution meets quality and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in substation physical design, with a focus on electrical design and project management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SDS AutoCAD Electrical, with experience in bus calculation and grounding studies a plus.
