Role Summary
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all unit functions during assigned shifts. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC directs and evaluates nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, serving as a resource for staff and embodying the organization's values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitates admission and discharge processes to optimize patient flow and care quality.
- Engages in ongoing assessments of patient care quality in collaboration with management.
- Fosters teamwork among staff and management to improve service delivery and outcomes.
- Advocates for a patient-first approach and engages in service recovery when necessary.
- Implements nursing strategies to enhance staff engagement and operational efficiency.
- Participates in the recruitment, training, and development of new staff members.
- Oversees staff scheduling and manages labor resources according to patient care needs.
- Maintains inventory control and assists in managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Must be a Registered Nurse.
- Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
