Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neuro Intensive Care Unit team at Ascension Seton Northwest. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide direct patient care and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit, including implementing and monitoring patient care plans, monitoring and recording patient condition, and communicating with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure well-coordinated patient care, including serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, including note and carrying out physician and nursing orders.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN preferred.
  • 1 year ICU experience preferred.
