Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist client projects related to strategic communication, public relations, stakeholder engagement, public outreach, research, or other pertinent needs.
  • Employ analytical skills to identify client requirements, establish goals and objectives, and coordinate the development of communication materials, plans, and campaigns that are strategic, comprehensive, and aligned with client aspirations.
  • Generate a variety of communication outputs, including press releases, reports, proposals, speeches, company publications, public statements, social media content, and website material for diverse projects and clients.
  • Formulate and execute strategies for the distribution of materials through suitable communication channels.
  • Utilize project management skills to maintain proactive communication with clients and team members, document project progress and meetings, track and report on project milestones, comprehend client needs, develop appropriate timelines and processes, seek feedback, and deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and a willingness to engage in hands-on tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Act as a reliable client resource and uphold the firm's reputation by remaining client-focused and committed to exceeding expectations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mass communication, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Three to five years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, public outreach, communication consulting, or related fields that clearly demonstrate comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Proven skills in content creation, with proficiency in AP and related style guidelines.
  • Capability to conceptualize and implement various communication initiatives, including in-person, print, and digital outreach.
  • Willingness to learn and grasp a wide array of subject matter related to client industries and the ability to translate industry terminology for diverse stakeholders and audiences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with organizational and time management abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to deadlines.
  • Ability to manage projects and a readiness to take ownership of timelines and deliverables.
  • Desire to cultivate meaningful relationships with team members and clients.
  • Ability to navigate sensitive and/or confidential discussions with clients.
  • Capacity to multitask, transitioning between projects and balancing competing priorities.
  • Openness to acquiring new skills and embracing new methodologies; receptive to feedback.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in an advertising or public relations agency.
  • Experience in employee communications, business communications, executive-level communications, crisis communications, or media relations.
  • Familiarity with Adobe programs or related systems.
