Aircraft Production/Supply Planner Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Production/Supply Planner to join our team at Columbia Helicopters. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating the production and supply of aircraft parts and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply plans to meet current and expected demand for parts and subassemblies.
  • Use various tools and systems to assess demand, usability, and location of available inventory.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Production Planning, and other departments to execute make/buy and source selection activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
  • Participate in material readiness meetings to ensure understanding of supply base and related challenges.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, aircraft/subcomponent design and maintenance documents, and other related documents.
  • Conduct oneself in accordance with Company's Core Values.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in production management, production control, and/or supply planning in a structured, complex, and highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in executing a production control and/or supply planner function in an organization enabled by a ERP system.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 / AS9110 standards.
  • APICS certifications (CSCP, CPIM) and/or other advanced Supply Chain or Lean Manufacturing certifications highly desirable.
