Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Supply Chain Legal Advisor to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Supply Chain organization, you will provide expert legal advice and support to our purchasing professionals and program managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and advise on purchase order/subcontract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies, internal guidance, federal, state, and local laws, as well as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and supplements thereto.
  • Provide drafting support for purchasing professionals and program managers on subcontract issues, including warranty interpretation, limitation of liability, termination for convenience or default, indemnification, and other subcontract terms and risks.
  • Assist in establishing negotiation goals and assist in negotiations regarding deviations from standard provisions.
  • Review and advise on performance issues such as claims and insolvency.
  • Assist in maintaining standard terms & conditions and negotiations guidance.
  • Provide training and communications to stakeholders on legal issues and best practices.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field (Juris Doctorate or Masters Degree in Legal Studies) and minimum 7 years' experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (TS/SCI) is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating terms & conditions, solicitations, purchases, licenses or various contractual agreements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Detail oriented, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to develop options and solutions that are practical and can be readily acted upon.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to conduct legal research.
  • Possess a positive, cooperative attitude, but assertive when necessary to comply with company policies and Government regulations and laws.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment, with often changing goals and requirements, and a very heavy workload, including special projects.
