Unit Overview
Our facility boasts twenty-five operating rooms that cater to a wide range of surgical specialties, including Trauma and Open-Heart Surgery Programs. We provide both elective and emergency surgical services around the clock, every day of the week. This role involves rotating on-call duties, as well as holiday and weekend shifts.

Role Responsibilities
The Surgical Technologist II is tasked with the preparation and maintenance of the surgical environment, ensuring the proper handling of instruments during procedures, upholding the sterile field, and adapting to changing conditions throughout surgical operations. This role requires a solid understanding of surgical protocols and may involve mentoring new staff as necessary.

Qualifications
- High school diploma is required.
- Associate degree or equivalent is required.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training (military experience included) is required. Note that not all programs necessitate an associate degree or one year of relevant experience.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred (clinical rotations are considered valid experience).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is required within 90 days of hire.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with variable hours, including day shifts and the possibility of weekend rotations.
