Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's short and long-term goals
  • Analyze technical data and product specifications to forecast immediate and future needs
  • Negotiate purchase order terms and conditions, and coordinate sales order/transaction logistics
  • Maintain computerized procurement records to monitor quantity of items purchased, analyze costs, and track freight delivery, product quality, and performance
  • Study sales records and inventory levels to identify foreign and domestic suppliers, and stay up-to-date on changes affecting supply and demand
  • Evaluate vendor offerings, including quality, availability, reliability, and technical support, to choose the best supply source and build long-term partnerships with vendors
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • Previous purchasing or sales experience in the PC industry is a plus
  • Previous manufacturing experience is a big plus
  • In-depth understanding of the PC component market
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Exceptional organization skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment and proficiency in Microsoft Office
