- Review and verify contractor submittals, modification documentation, and construction schedules.
- Monitor contractor compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable safety standards.
- Attend construction-related meetings and document attendance, provide meeting notes, and document action items.
- Review technical documentation and reports.
- Report potential construction problems and aid in resolving issues.
- Aid in resolving issues related to inspection, quality control, material testing, safety, and technical considerations.
- Review contractor schedules and construction summary and voucher to verify and confirm work progress.
- Aid in updating and answering questions about construction activities from project stakeholders.
- Be on-site to observe and inspect contractor activities, process, and products to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Oversee quality control of contractor work and safety for the construction project.
- Assist in ensuring construction is performed in accordance with contract specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction.
- Proficient in understanding specifications, drawings, and other contract-related engineering documents.
- Proficient in inspecting work product and ensuring compliance with specifications, drawings, and other contract-related engineering documents.
- Knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices with in-depth experience and knowledge of construction industry standards.
- Proficient with time management and facilitates adhering to schedules.
- Presents a professional demeanor, attentive listener, proactive, works independently with little oversight, engage and actively participate in teams.
- Proficient in written and oral communication at a professional level.
- Mental and physical ability to work the required hours, in ambient weather conditions, and mobilize around construction site.
The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. Occasional travel may be required.
Additional Qualifying FactorsAs a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
