Job Summary:

The Senior Bank Secrecy Analyst assists in the administration of all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act compliance program and supports various assignments related to the Compliance Program of the bank.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Assistant BSA Officer and business line management to ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, and OFAC.
  • Enforce reporting requirements and exemption authorizations of the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Utilize Verafin Software and BSA databases to perform comprehensive BSA monitoring.
  • Mentor BSA Specialists.
  • Perform annual monitoring to identify possible suspicious activity using various reports.
  • Report findings of significant transactions or unusual activity to the Assistant BSA Officer.
  • Recommend business customers for possible CTR Exemptions.
  • Maintain the Bank BSA Watch list.
  • Make recommendations to the BSA Officer for account closures.
  • Communicate recommendations for possible SAR filings to the BSA Officer.
  • Review DP_CASH Reports and all CTR's prior to submission to FinCEN.
  • Assist the Assistant BSA Officer with BSA-related audits and exams.
  • Serve as the back-up to the BSA Officer for SAR filings, exemptions, reporting to management, 314b requests, and policy and procedure revisions.
  • Assume all BSA responsibilities in the absence of the BSA Officer and keep management informed of any issues.
  • Serve as back-up to Bank Secrecy Analysts for critical daily BSA tasks.
  • Document all Bank Secrecy Act activity and maintain accurate and complete files.
  • Maintain a high degree of knowledge of BSA and related regulations. Assist with the training of bank personnel as requested.
  • Attend seminars, webinars, and BSA association meetings to stay current with BSA regulatory changes.
  • Perform related or unrelated duties as may be requested.
  • Complete all yearly compliance training and testing and comply with bank, federal, and state regulations. Comply with Bank Policies and Procedures. Adhere to departmental and bank-wide service standards.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues through in-depth analysis and research.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively across banking lines and with staff at all levels.
  • Comprehensive understanding of general banking compliance regulations and laws.
  • Comprehensive understanding of general banking operations activities, products, and services.
