Advanced Care Partner Externship Medicine Health Services Unit

UCHealth is seeking a motivated and compassionate Advanced Care Partner to join our Medicine Health Services Unit team. As an Advanced Care Partner, you will provide direct patient care under the delegation and/or supervision of a nurse/healthcare provider, prioritizing wellness and patient perspectives.
Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care, including gathering vital signs, measuring blood glucose, performing sterile dressing changes, and starting peripheral IVs.
- Assists patients with personal care, activities of daily living, and progressive mobility.
- Assists to keep care area stocked, cleaned, and orderly.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
- Enrolled in an accredited nursing program and in good standing.
- Must have completed first clinical rotation (equivalent to Med/Surg I) and provide transcripts of successful completion.
