About You:

We're looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a General Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing gym operations to ensure an exceptional member experience and a financially successful club.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring staff follow superior customer service guidelines.
  • Manage day-to-day club operations, including leading a team to set and achieve club goals.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to ensure excellent customer service and a positive member experience.
  • Delegate responsibilities to club staff and enforce all Planet Fitness policies and procedures.
  • Track club and employee statistics and reports, ensuring payroll is within budget.
  • Coach and counsel team members through disciplinary processes, up to termination.
  • Execute retail transactions with accuracy and drive sales goals.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience supervising and leading a team.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Willing to become CPR/AED certified (training provided by Planet Fitness).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong problem resolution skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to continuously talk in person or on the phone during shift.
  • Will occasionally encounter cleaning chemicals during shift.
