Job Summary:

As a key member of our team, the Chief Development Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve our goals. This will involve working closely with local officers, their boards, and committees to develop promotional plans, coordinating public relations activities, and ensuring compliance with our budget.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve our goals.

  • Coordinate public relations activities and ensure compliance with our budget.
  • Confer directly with Divisional Headquarters administration and boards as well as with Territorial Headquarters.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising and fund-raising management.
  • Valid State driver's license and approved background check.
  • National Society of Fund Raising Executives (NSFRE) Certification as Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) is desirable.

Working Conditions:

The work is performed in a normal office environment with some exposure to outdoor temperatures and physical discomforts associated with traveling by vehicle and/or airplane.
