Job Summary

The ACT Mental Health Professional will provide high-quality mental health services while ensuring quality control for mental health practices within various areas of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough interviews with recipients to gather information about their mental health history and other relevant details.
  • Perform assessments to detect signs of abnormal mental behavior and report them to the LMHP and/or Psychiatrist.
  • Administer therapeutic treatment, such as behavior modification and stress management therapy, to help recipients manage their disorders and problems.
  • Discuss progress towards goals with recipients, including anger management, stress, depression, social skills, and independent living skills.
  • Collaborate with the psychiatrist and/or LMHP to develop and amend treatment plans as directed, and annually.

Assist the Team Lead in monitoring treatment plan expiration dates and ensuring timely submissions.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Facilitate education, substance abuse, skills training groups, and process groups.
  • Refer recipients to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling.
  • Monitor recipients' behavior in various settings, including home, school, and community.
  • Link recipients and their families with community resources that can be beneficial.
  • Provide crisis intervention in collaboration with the LMHP.
  • Regulate the content of skills training according to recipients' capabilities, needs, and interests.
Requirements
  • Master of Social Work, Master of Arts, or Master of Science in a Social Science-related field, under supervision and in the process of obtaining licensure from an approved governing body.
