Job Description:

Job Summary: As a Team Leader I for H-E-B Warehouse or Transportation, you will be responsible for managing different areas of operation to develop expertise in people leadership and tactical operational leadership. You will lead a team of hourly Partners and be responsible for developing expertise in people leadership and tactical operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of hourly Partners and provide daily supervision and support.
  • Maintain an environment where Partners trust and respect the Leader and work together as a team to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Engage with Partners daily and clearly explain roles, expectations, and performance measurements for each critical component that impacts business outcomes.
  • Operate a team that consistently meets customer needs and expectations and tracks/monitors/resolves complaints.
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators for daily and weekly team performance and measure against goals.
  • Take an active role in development of Partners and provide learning and growth opportunities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, pest-free, and well-organized facility and comply with established SOPs.
  • Recognize Partner achievements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 1+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in presentations a plus.
  • Successful completion of Leadership & Development classes as assigned.
  • Advanced knowledge of operations of department programs.
  • Working knowledge of the industry and related EEOC and employment laws, and assigned department level reports.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Intermediate skills in internal/external software and systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks.

Working Conditions:

  • Function in a fast-paced distribution center and office environment.
  • Travel by car or plane with overnight stays.
  • Work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work in multiple temperature zones.
  • Safely maneuver facility in compliance with OSHA regulations.
