Job Description

This role requires a Recovery Support Specialist to provide outreach and engagement to clients in the community, offering high-quality targeted case management and care coordination services that assist individuals in sustaining recovery and gaining access to needed behavioral health, medical, social, legal, housing, educational, and employment resources.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in recovery. They will work closely with ODMHSAS staff and customers, maintaining a high level of professionalism and ethics throughout their interactions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outreach and engagement services to clients in the community.
  • Offer high-quality targeted case management and care coordination services.
  • Assist individuals in sustaining recovery and accessing necessary resources.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Demonstrated personal knowledge of advocacy in recovery is preferred.
  • The ability to become certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist is also required.
