Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team at the Oklahoma Mental Health Council. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for triaging emergency or unscheduled contacts, providing crisis intervention services, and working as a treatment team member. This role requires excellent communication skills, independence, tact, patience, and understanding to work effectively with clients, staff, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage crisis situations, assess needs, and arrange appropriate levels of service
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team to provide comprehensive care
  • Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with law enforcement and local providers
  • Document all situations according to procedures
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, tact, patience, and understanding
  • Commitment to the mission of the Oklahoma Mental Health Council
