Position Overview:

Join our dedicated team at Concentra Career Choice, where we prioritize the health and well-being of America's workforce. This role offers a Monday - Friday 8a-5:30p schedule and includes a sign-on bonus of up to $1500.

Role Summary:
As a Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist, you will perform essential medical and diagnostic procedures under the direct supervision of healthcare professionals. Your contributions will support various functions within our facility, including patient registration and referral management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol screenings.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vital signs and conducting necessary ancillary tests.
  • Perform rapid diagnostic tests (e.g., influenza, strep, glucose).
  • Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and treatments.
  • Execute routine medical procedures as directed by the supervising clinician.
  • Prepare and assist in medical procedures and injury care.
  • Administer medications and durable medical equipment as prescribed, adhering to state regulations.
  • Maintain quality assurance for medical equipment and testing processes.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of medical supplies and examination rooms.
  • Manage all medical devices and equipment, ensuring proper calibration and record-keeping.
  • Facilitate patient flow and manage wait times effectively.
  • Perform clerical duties related to patient care and documentation.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.

X-Ray Technologist Duties:

  • Prepare and position patients for X-Ray examinations.
  • Administer imaging procedures as ordered, including X-Rays and other modalities.
  • Adjust exposure settings to ensure optimal imaging quality.
  • Maintain compliance with quality assurance standards as outlined in the Concentra X-Ray Compliance Manual.
  • Manage radiological film storage and retrieval for referrals.
  • Document and maintain records of services rendered and imaging referrals.
  • Assist in patient care and support healthcare providers during procedures.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Manage patient flow and keep patients informed of expected wait times.
  • Complete necessary clerical tasks associated with patient care.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution or Military Medical Specialist credentials.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of six months of experience as a medical assistant with knowledge of medical procedures.
  • Experience in X-Ray operations and familiarity with routine medical practices.
  • Preferred knowledge of occupational medicine requirements and customer service experience.

Physical Requirements:

The role may require occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds and assisting patients weighing up to 300 pounds. Specific vision abilities include normal or corrected vision and the ability to discern color differences necessary for operating equipment and reviewing documents.
