Role Responsibilities and QualificationsThe Radiologic Imaging Specialist is responsible for performing both routine and advanced magnetic resonance imaging of various organs and blood flow studies. This role involves presenting images and patient histories to the Radiologist to facilitate comprehensive diagnostic reporting for referring physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compassionately assist and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Administer IVs for contrast injections as needed.
- Evaluate image quality and make necessary adjustments.
- Provide patients with proper post-procedure instructions upon discharge.
- Maintain a sterile environment and prepare the imaging room between patients.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited institution with a degree or certificate in Radiology Technology.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- ARRT MR certification preferred upon hire or eligibility within one year, with completion required within six months.
- BCLS certification required within 30 days of employment.
- 2-3 years of MRI experience preferred.
- On-call availability with the ability to respond to the facility within one hour.
