Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Operations Supervisor to join our team at the Dallas Museum of Art. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional security services to our staff, visitors, and collections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control access to the museum's facilities and collections.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of security personnel to ensure the safety and security of the museum and its visitors.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents, and initiate standard procedures for handling such situations.
  • Patrol the museum's interior and exterior spaces to detect and prevent potential security threats.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and secure experience for visitors.
  • Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to ensure the museum's assets and visitors are protected.
  • Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and guidance to security personnel to ensure they are equipped to handle various security situations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a supervisory role or position preferred.
  • One year of previous experience in security or a related field required; museum security experience a plus.
  • Department of Public Safety Levels 1 or 2 Licensing required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work with multicultural staff, and strong communication skills required.
