Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Policy undergraduate or graduate intern for the upcoming school year. This role is ideal for students majoring in Policy or a related field, who are set to graduate in 2025. As an intern, you will work closely with our management team, gaining hands-on experience in researching market conditions, federal and state energy policy, and utility regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Policy Research: Assist in monitoring and analyzing federal, state, and local energy policies and their impact on the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar and energy storage.
- Regulatory Analysis: Help track regulatory developments affecting energy markets and assist with summarizing utility filings and policy reports.
- Market Assessments: Support the team in conducting market research related to renewable energy deployment, including reviewing utility programs and renewable portfolio standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in drafting summaries of key energy-related legislation and support preparation for stakeholder meetings and policy discussions.
- Policy Briefs & Reports: Contribute to the preparation of internal memos, policy briefs, and presentations that inform our team's strategy on energy market conditions and policy risks.
Qualifications
- Current junior or senior majoring in Policy, Political Science, Energy Studies, or a related field, planning to graduate in 2025.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with a demonstrated interest in renewable energy policy.
- Familiarity with the U.S. energy landscape and renewable energy technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft
