Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee branch opening and closing activities in compliance with established policies.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance cross-selling abilities and sales performance.
  • Support the Branch Manager in coaching staff and implementing Personal Development Plans.
  • Foster a positive team culture and promote employee satisfaction.
  • Participate in the hiring, disciplinary, and termination processes as needed.
  • Facilitate consumer loan funding, ensuring documentation accuracy and assisting members with necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all branch operations, including audits, certifications, and cash management.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in directing daily branch activities.
  • Provide direct supervision of branch personnel, including managing staffing needs and ensuring compliance with equal employment regulations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend salary adjustments as appropriate.
  • Encourage professional development among staff through training and educational opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of leadership experience in a financial institution, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in Real Estate loan departments, Consumer Lending, and general product knowledge is advantageous.
  • Business Development experience is preferred.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and profitability within a branch or department.
  • Familiarity with Credit Union operations and audit processes.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills to effectively manage a team of three or more employees.
  • Knowledge of Human Resource laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to analyze business and personnel information for sound decision-making.
  • Strong team-building and coaching capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
