Position Overview:
The Extrusion Operator is tasked with the processing of products derived from straightforward color compounds in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to established specifications and procedures. This role includes setting up, operating, and managing extruding machinery utilized in product processing. The individual will work under the guidance of a team leader or Level 3 colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize safety by making informed decisions, adhering to safety protocols, and actively participating in safety initiatives.
  • Transport materials and equipment safely to work and storage areas using appropriate tools.
  • Initiate the work process by verifying product identification through the work assignment board.
  • Prepare the workspace for compound production by selecting the correct materials and tools.
  • Collaborate with team leaders or Level 3 operators to determine machine setup based on product specifications.
  • Configure the extruder by adjusting feed rates, temperatures, and attaching necessary components.
  • Produce compound samples in accordance with specifications using production equipment.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of pellets produced, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Document production processes and specifications accurately.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to team success.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production preferred.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in production.
  • Understanding of production processes and quality control principles.
  • Basic arithmetic and geometry skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications relevant to data management.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Tow Motor Forklift certification.
