Your Role in Our Success...

As a Customer Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing essential client relationships, supporting the sales team, and driving revenue growth for Kovalus's product offerings across North America. A solid background in selling separation technologies to industrial, food and beverage, and life science sectors will be advantageous for excelling in this position. Your capability to forge robust business partnerships with clients and internal teams will be vital for your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Account Management:
    1. Establish and enhance relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within existing accounts, comprehending their evolving requirements and aligning our solutions accordingly.
    2. Track account performance metrics and leverage data-driven insights to refine strategies and enhance account outcomes.
  2. Sales and Revenue Development:
    1. Fulfill activity expectations necessary to maintain the entire portfolio of business.
    2. Create and execute customized strategies for account expansion, including personalized outreach, targeted proposals, and solution-oriented selling.
  3. Client Engagement:
    1. Proactively connect with clients through regular updates, reviews, and business discussions to uncover and address potential growth opportunities.
    2. Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to clients.
    3. Collaborate with the marketing department to implement campaigns and promotional activities.
  4. Pipeline Oversight:
    1. Maintain precise and current records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities within the CRM system.
    2. Provide regular updates on account status, growth progress, and any challenges or opportunities to senior management.
  5. Team Collaboration:
    1. Work closely with the sales team to devise and implement strategic sales initiatives.
    2. Coordinate with customer service and support teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
    3. Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant technical sales experience or operational experience in the food processing, dairy, life sciences, or water treatment sectors, with a desire to transition into a client-facing role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in presentation, customer service, business acumen, and negotiation.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Previous experience with virtual account management, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with sales organizations and technical teams.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related technical field.
