Silicon Readiness Engineering Program Manager

Be at the center of the action on new silicon product development for Apple's groundbreaking SoCs. We seek a Silicon Readiness Engineering Program Manager (EPM) within the Hardware Technologies organization to join an experienced program management team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a multi-functional team responsible for ensuring critical software and firmware is ready to support the bringup of new Apple SOC's.
  • Drive technical issue resolution to enable on-time silicon to meet consistently aggressive product schedules.
  • Focus teams on meeting near-term tactical work and unblocking technical issues by pulling together the right multi-functional technical expert(s) to resolve issues with data-based decision-making.
  • In parallel, ability to focus the multi-functional teams on the big-picture, looking strategically across the SOC roadmap to propose and drive high-ROI pre-silicon goals with the team.
  • Drive and develop internal program processes to guarantee high-quality silicon execution.
  • Interface and drive pre-silicon issues across multi-functional teams: Design, Verification, Validation, Technology, System Hardware and Software.
  • Drive technical sessions with multi-functional teams to track & follow up issues/escalations.
  • Focused issue reporting, bug tracking, and communication of program risks & status.
Requirements:
  • BS in Engineering discipline and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Post Silicon Validation, emulation/simulation or Software/Firmware Engineering experience.
  • Technical program management or vendor management experience.
  • Top-level SoC architecture and associated IPs knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of pre-si modeling vehicles (FPGA, simulation, emulation).
  • Experience with ARM architecture and leading silicon projects from concept to production.

  • Ability to develop metrics to measure enhancements and generational improvements on a per project level with future planning in mind.
