Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at Bright Horizons. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a key role in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, leading a teaching team, and creating a safe and nurturing environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Plan and implement engaging and interactive curriculum that promotes children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
  • Team Leadership: Guide a teaching team in planning and implementing curriculum, creating classroom goals, and leading hands-on activities that expand children's learning and extend their thinking.
  • Documentation and Assessment: Document children's learning, daily experiences, and accomplishments through daily notes, documentation panels, portfolios, and our child assessment system - Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG).
  • Classroom Environment: Follow important procedures and guidelines to provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or State Educator License in Early Childhood (Pre-K-2) from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education required.
  • Experience: At least 12 months of professional teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) for 4- and 5-year-old children required.
