Job Title: Utility Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Project Engineer to join our team at Aegis Worldwide. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for working directly with customers on quoting and estimating processes, handling projects ranging from $5K to $5 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop designs for customers, ensuring that all engineering drawings and schematics match the customers' product needs.
  • Utilize 3D software (PLS pole and PLS CAD) to create engineering drawings and designs.
  • Answer questions from manufacturing associates during the production process, providing guidance on proper manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Review and approve designs from engineering teams, working with the engineering & detailing team in India to analyze drawings prior to customer delivery.
  • Meet and communicate directly with customers as necessary, understanding their needs and questions throughout production.
  • Visit customers on occasion, ensuring that products/processes match the desired result.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is required, Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Professional Engineer license – required.
  • 6+ years of engineering experience, working within the utility industry (preferably, the transmission utility industry).
  • Experience utilizing a structural design software -- PLS Pole or PLS CAD (preferred), Tekla, RISA 3D, etc.
  • Experience working on quoting, design, and acting as a POC for customers.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary range: $100,000 - $115,000 base salary + ROA and profit-sharing bonus.
  • Relocation assistance is provided.
  • First shift, Monday-Friday schedule.
  • Profit sharing -- $0.10 of every dollar, before taxes.
  • 401K program, Tuition reimbursement – for employees, they'll reimburse $4K per year. For spouses of employees, $2K per year.
  • PTO – 120 hours (3 weeks, after 6 months of employment). 1 personal day after 90 days of employment.
