Job Title: Composite Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Composite Project Engineer to join our team at Re:Build Manufacturing. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading composite component design and manufacturing projects from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with customers to gather requirements and create estimates
  • Collaborate with customers and manufacturing personnel to design and develop composite components
  • Lead project planning and design review meetings
  • Generate CAD and drawings required for part and tooling chain
  • Develop production support documentation, including ply kits and lamination instructions
  • Specify required materials and generate BOMs
  • Define and maintain project timelines and monitor project costs
  • Provide manufacturing support and ensure project deliverables are met
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in an Engineering Field (Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, etc.)
  • 6+ years of experience in composite component design and manufacturing, with aerospace experience preferred
  • Strong project management skills, including scoping, scheduling, and communication
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and internal leadership
  • Self-motivated with strong personal workload management
  • Successful management of multiple projects, scheduling, and scoping
  • Experience in mold design, DFM, fixturing, and work instruction development
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to function effectively in a fast-paced work environment
  • High-level SolidWorks or similar solid and surface modeling software
  • High-level user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, workflows, and ISO/AS environments
