Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Memory Care Unit, ensuring high-quality care and services for residents.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise memory care staff, providing ongoing professional development and performance evaluations.
  • Design and implement individualized care plans for residents based on their unique needs and preferences.
  • Develop and manage engaging activities and programs that promote cognitive function, social interaction, and emotional well-being.
  • Build strong relationships with residents and their families, providing education and support regarding memory impairments and care strategies.
Requirements
  • Nursing license in the state of Illinois
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in memory care or geriatric services, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's disease, including best practices in care and therapeutic interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, residents, and families.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a passion for enhancing the quality of life for individuals with memory impairments.
