Job Summary

We are seeking an EHS Specialist to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. As an EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading environmental compliance activities, programs, and prevention efforts. You will support EHS programs in performing environmental analyses, training, workplace incident investigations, inspections, and internal audits as directed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and lead environmental compliance activities, programs, and prevention efforts.
  • Support EHS programs in performing environmental analyses, training, workplace incident investigations, inspections, and internal audits as directed.
  • Review new hazardous materials and check incoming material for MSDS's, unique usage, and storage characteristics. Work with end users to ensure proper usage and disposal.
  • Develop and lead compliance training.
  • Review and maintain SDS database and site chemical inventories.
  • Support EHS management in conducting reviews for facility modification, new product development, product modification, and new equipment/machinery as directed.
  • On call for EHS emergencies (24/7).
  • Support ISO 14001 process and its maintenance.
  • Responsible for assigned duties and tasks as defined by the Environmental Management System.
Requirements
  • Environmental work experience, Bachelor's Degree in environmental studies, health sciences, or an equivalent academic field.
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Solid leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Solid verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Good organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%, as needed.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
